Orders from Harbor Freigh and LMS arrived!

The first few are of the the new quick change tool post. Seems to fit loosely on the supplied post, but if you hog on the hold down bolt it seems pretty stable. Was a bit scratched up in shipping, but it doesn't affect function.

Also had to seat and tighten the positioning screw/ nut threaded rod on the tool holders as most of them were loose.

The smaller vice is much more in tune with the micro-mill as it currently sits. The angle vice should be about indespensible.

The stuff on the box is the HF order. Some new files in forms I didn't have will be helpful! Chip brushes, desperately needed, have since picked up some 1/2", 1" and 2" additions from the local Home Depot. The black box is a metric tap and die set. Also got the "Technical Measuring Set" primarily for the outside calipers, I have my grandfathers for the other, nice to have some extras though.

The stuff on the table is the LMS order. A few problems there.

I didn't have a draw bar for the end mill holder, somehown I had gotten the impression that the one that came with the mill was 3/8-16, but it isn't - some metric value. Not a real problem since John Guenther suggested going and getting a 6" 3/8-16 bolt and making a bushing for it to center it in the draw bar shaft, did, worked out well and it was nicer to make than to buy :).

THe hold down clamps turned out to not match the pix on LMS item page, they are the LONG ones which are problematical to use on the original tables on the micro-mill. Too expensive to send them back so I gave them to someone who can use them and kept the studs and nuts. HATE it when mail ordering something that isn't what I saw on the order page. Am now leary about LMS although I have no idea how to find out what I am getting other than just shoot in the dark :-(.

Good set of indexable lathe tools. Inserts are kind of expensive, but good ones are :-).

Magnetic indicator holder, hopefully that will help as getting the magnetic base that I have into the right position can sometimes be a challenge.

Tweaks & Enhancements Kit, some really nice stuff in that and some I didn't need for my lathe.

Handy goodies all!
