Never had handles on my files unless they just came with one.
The ones I had found seemed awfully expensive. I've now found sources that are reasonable but I keep forgetting to order any :-).
Besides it is more fun to make your own. Not hard and it saves on shipping.
Those woodworking chisels I got are really just too large and cumbersome for this kind of work. They work, but I'm probably going to order a set of them more appropriately sized to the mini-lathe.
I got an idea from one of the folks on the 7x12 group and tried using my boring bar attachment for the QCTP with an old piece of 3/8" round aluminum. It works and is easier than hauling out the formal woodworking rest. The real one might be better but this is quick.
It was crap wood, but certainly better than a metal point :-).
Really neat what one can do with the right tools!
