New Chisels and Honey Spoon

The new chisels arrived today! The cheap little roll up plastic case they arrived in did not survive well, no big deal as I can either duct tape the bottom or just put them in something else.

Not at all sure the big set is what I wanted / needed. Most of them seem to be too big for the kinds of things I am thinking about doiing. Perhaps the smaller set might work out, will see.

Ended up using some of my metal tools for the lathe, this worked out well. Used the cutoff tool to cut the slots. Round nosed tool and the finishing tool took care of the shaft nicely!

It was a fun project and showed me that I can accomplish some wood working projects! Not at all bad for a first attempt!

Next I probably want to get some decent wood, this will work but cheap dime store table leg dowel is not the nicest wood in the world :) but free is hard to beat :-).

Probably the nicest thing about being able to do this is getting what you want not what you have to settle for!
